Unit Four What Can You Do?

单元教学目标

1、能力目标

（1）  能够简单介绍自己能做哪些家务劳动，如：I can clean the bedroom.  I can cook the meals.

（2）  能够询问别人能做什么家务劳动，如：What can you do?  Can you set the table?

（3）    能够听懂、会唱歌曲：I Can Help

(5)      能够了解Story time , Good to know等部分的内容。

1 Warm up：

Let' s do in Book 3 Unit 1. 

2 Preview   

Let' s start   Let the students look at the pictures of Let' s start. 

  T:  How many doors / lights / boards / … can you see?  

S:  I can see ….  

T:  How many birds / kangaroos / … can you see?  What can they do?  

Ss answer.  

T:  I can clean the board.  What can you do?  

S:  I can ….

3 Presentation  

Let' s learn.

(1)   Draw and say the new phrases : sweep the floor/cook the meals/clean the bedroom/water the flower/empty the trash

(2)   Listen and repeat after the recording.   Point to the pictures and act and say.

(3)   Make sentences :  I can ….

1 Warm up

Free talk----What day is it today?  What do you have on ….  Who's your favourite teacher?  Is she / he ….?   What' s your favourite …? 

2 Preview  

(1)   Let' s chant. Listen to the recording of Let' s chant.  Ss act and chant together.  

(2)   T:  The dog can run.  The panda can eat bamboo.  The mouse can hide in the shoes.Mike can draw animals in the zoo.  I can play ping-pong. Ican clean the bedroom.          What can you do? Ss answer。

(3)   Listen to the tape.  Spell the words in Let' s learn.  

(4)   Act and say.   S1 do the action,  Ss guess.

3 Presentation  

Let' s try.

(1)                Listen and tick or cross. Grandma: What can you do, Mike?

Mike: I can sweep the floor. I can cook the meals. I can                                  clean the bedroom. I can water the flowers.                         Grandma: Great! You' re helpful.

(1) Look at the picture of Read and write.    T: Look! This is Mother Goat. She' s ill. Let' s help her. What can you do?    Ss answer.

(2) T: Mother Goat is ill. Zoom, Zip, the monkey and the rabbit are helping her. They're helpful. What can the monkey do? What can the rabbit do? Listen and answer.

(1)      Let' s chant in Part B.

(2)      Look at the pictures on the board. Chant---- Can you do housework?

(1)   Game 1 : Number and the picture.  Put the pictures on the board. Number the pictures.                                   T: No. 7.  Ss say the phrase as quickly as possible.  

(2)   Game 2: What' s missing?  T: One, two, three. Open your eyes. What' s missing?  

(3)   Game 3: Rolling ball.  S1: I can set the table.  S2: I can set the table and do the dishes.  

(4)   Spell and write the phrases in Let' s learn Part B.

3 Presentation

(1)   Listen to the recording of Let's try.  Boy: I can make the bed. I can do the dishes. And I can empty the trash.Girl: I can sweep the floor. I can cook the meals. I can wash the clothes.

(2)   Play a game.  T: One , two , three. Show a card.  Ss look and say.  

(3)   Game: Stone, scissors, paper!   Play with your partner.  The winner say the Chinese.   The other student spell the phrase.                                         

3 Presentation  

Read and write

(1)      Show a toy robot. T: Class, we have a new friend today. He' s Robot. Let' s say " Hello, Robot!" What can he do? Can Robot make the bed / set the table /play chess / do the dishes / use the chopsticks / use the computer?

(2)      Open the books.  Listen and read.

(3)      If the students don' t understand, teacher will explain.

(4)      Fill in the blanks after reading.
